Dr Jayden Batey

Dr Jayden Batey is a Cardiologist at The Heart Group and Middlemore Hospital. Born and raised in Auckland, Jayden studied medicine at the University of Auckland and then completed his specialist training between Middlemore, Auckland City and North Shore Hospitals.

Jayden completed his Fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney, one of the largest and highest volume centres in Australasia. He acquired skills in diagnostic and procedural echocardiography training with leaders in this field, as well as obtaining extensive experience in cardiac CT and MRI. Following this Jayden worked as a consultant cardiologist in northern New South Wales before returning home.

Jayden has a strong research background and works for Aotearoa Clinical Trials on innovative cardiac research, and has previously completed a research fellowship with the University of Auckland and worked on several local and international trials.
