Dr Lene Hüche Nielsen

Dr Lene Hüche Nielsen is an experienced consultant cardiologist and expert in advanced cardiac imaging, with an international academic and clinical career spanning Denmark, Australia, and New Zealand. She is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Auckland City Hospital and a Research Affiliate at the University of Sydney.

Dr Nielsen graduated from the University of Copenhagen and completed her cardiology training in Denmark. She holds a PhD in cardiovascular imaging with a research focus on CT-based diagnosis and risk assessment of coronary artery disease. She has held senior leadership positions and has contributed to both Danish and European Society of Cardiology guidelines. Her work is widely published in high-impact international cardiology journals.

Her clinical interests include coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, and cardiovascular disease in women. She has extensive expertise in cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI, enabling comprehensive diagnostic assessment and evidence-based management of patients with cardiac conditions.
