Prof Rob Doughty

Rob Doughty trained in medicine and cardiology in the UK and Auckland (Auckland and Green Lane Hospitals). He is a cardiologist at The Heart Group and at the Greenlane Cardiovascular Service at Auckland City Hospital where he is the leader of the heart failure service. He holds the Heart Foundation Chair of Heart Health at The University of Auckland where he leads a programme of research focused on improving heart health in NZ. Rob is a general cardiologist and has specialised interests in heart failure, echocardiography, and sports cardiology. He works with several different sports organisations regarding heart assessments for athletes across a range of sporting disciplines.
