Dr Sarah Fitzsimons

Dr Sarah Fitzsimons graduated from Otago Medical School in 2003. She undertook her specialty training in general cardiology in both Sydney, Australia and Auckland Hospital and post-qualification fellowships in Heart Failure and Transplantation locally in Auckland and at Royal Papworth Hospital, the leading heart and lung transplant center in the UK.  Sarah is a consultant cardiologist at Auckland Hospital where she practices as a general cardiologist with a special interest in heart failure and transplantation.  She also works as a lecturer for Auckland University and is completing a PhD exploring the role of biomarkers in the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure.
